Add ID Details Evidence with Type Social Security Number – Application Case
This guide is to be used when the Social Security Number was not known at application but it obtained prior to authorization of the Application Case
Begin by reviewing ID Details Evidence Type SSN from the Application Case > Evidence sub-tab > Dashboard folder.
Add ID Details Evidence With Type Social Security Number (SSN) – Application Case
1. From the Application Case > Evidence sub-tab > Dashboard folder
a. Click the ID Details hyperlink
b. Toggle the Social Security Number Evidence two times
NOTE: In the SSN Details section, ensure the SSN Status shows Applied for SSN or Not Applied for SSN
c. Click the List Action menu
d. Click Discard button
e. Proceed to Step 2
2. From the Person Page > Evidence sub-tab > Evidence folder
Follow directions below when the ID Details Evidence Type SSN Status shows Applied For or Not Applied For on the Application Case:
a. Click the New Star Action menu
b. In the New Evidence pop-up box, locate Identifications and click the List Action Menu
c. Click Add button
d. In the New Identifications pop-up box:
i. The Received Date will be the date the Social Security Number evidence becomes known to the agency
ii. In the Case Participant field, click the drop down and select the participants name
iii. In the ID Reference field, type the Social Security Number
iv. In the Type field, click the drop down and select Social Security Number
v. In the From Field, type the date the application was received
vi. Click the Save button
e. Proceed to Step 3
Follow directions below when the ID Details Evidence Type SSN was/is present but incorrect on the Application Case:
a. Locate the Evidence Type Identifications with Description Social Security Number
b. Click the List Action Menu
c. Click Edit
d. In the Edit Identifications pop up box, in the ID Reference field type the correct Social Security Number
e. Click Save button
f. Proceed to Step 3
3. From the Application Case > Evidence sub-tab > Incoming Evidence folder
a. Locate the Incoming Evidence Type ID Details with a Description of Social Security Number
b. Click the List Action Menu
c. Click Compare button
d. Ensure the Incoming Social Security Number is correct
e. If it is correct, click the Accept button
NOTE: If it is incorrect, click the Reject button and start over from Step 2 under the heading, Social Security Number is present but incorrect
f. In the Accept Evidence pop up box, click Yes
4. Review Case Details, Validate Changes and Check Eligibility
a. If Eligibility Check is correct, Authorize the Application Case
i. If eligible, Authorize the Approval
ii. If ineligible, Authorize the Denial
