Spousal Support

A spousal support determination is made for individuals who are married and applying for or receiving Blind Pension (BP). This determination is based on 500% of Federal Poverty Level (FPL).

FAMIS determines whether or not the sighted spouse’s gross income PASSES or FAILS the Spousal Support test. This budget displays on the Adult MO HealthNet BP Spousal Budget Summary screen. This screen is accessed from the Assistance Group Technical Eligibility Detail screen. Use this screen to explain the BP determinations during the Fair Hearing process and/or to explain BP determinations to customers.

Fastpath to EU Action Log (EULOG/FM40).

Step 2

Enter an “S” in the Sel field for the month you wish to review. Press F17=INQAUTH.

Step 3

Press F16=MHABD.

Step 4

Enter an “S” in the Sel field for BP coverage. Press F14=AGTECH.

Step 5

Enter an “S” in the Sel field next to the SIGHTED SPOUSE Technical factor. Press F17=SPO-BUD.

Press F17=INCSUM to review income used in the spousal support determination.
