Date Calculator

Some Family Healthcare programs require putting a date in the future or past in the MEDES to properly determine eligibility. Our PC’s have a calculator that has a date calculation feature we can use to properly determine these dates. The directions demonstrate how to use this feature.

DATE CALCULATOR INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Click the Start Button from your desktop
    2. Click the Calculator icon

NOTE: You may have to type ‘Calculator’ in the search field on your Start Menu if your calculator isn’t on your Start Menu

    1. When your calculator pops up, click View
    2. Click Date Calculation. Your calculator should expand showing the field, Select the date calculation you want.
    3. Click the dropdown menu and select Add or subtract days to a specific date
    4. In the From field, click the dropdown and populate with the date you wish to add or subtract days from
    5. Click the radio button, either Add or Subtract, depending on the date you need
    6. Populate the Year(s), Month(s) and Day(s) fields as needed
    7. Click Calculate. Your date should display in the Date field
