Correcting Information in the Common Area

Always correct any incorrect customer information, such as name, date of birth, etc. on Common Client Data Update (SUPD) in the Common Area.

TO CORRECT CUSTOMER INFORMATION

    1. Log into FAMIS (FAPC).
    2. Press Pause Break.
    3. Enter SUPD (space) and the eight digit DCN (no leading zeros) where the cursor appears at the top of the screen.
    4. Press Ctrl to display the information connected to that DCN, including Alias’ (other names the person has been known by).
    5. Enter I/M in the System Code field.
    6. Enter the correct information in the corresponding field(s); do not type over correct information.
    7. To correct Race/Ethnicity/Language data, press PFK5:RACE/ETHN/LANG, update entries and confirm to return to SUPD.
    8. Press Ctrl to update.
    9. UPDATE COMPLETE message displays across the bottom of the screen.
    10. If a name was added or changed, press Ctrl again to see complete a name history in Alias.

NOTE: Changes made to birth date do not carry to FAMIS. Update the FAMIS BIRTH screen with the same changes made in the Common Area.
