Transitional MO HealthNet Income Change

Use this guide when a participant receiving MHF Benefits reports a new income source or an increase in earned income, for TMH Eligible Income Changes.

TO UPDATE INCOME ON A TMH ELIGIBLE INTEGRATED CASE

    1. Follow steps and income start/end dates to End Date Income, Create Actual Income, and Create Ongoing Income

NOTE: If updating income evidence the last 10 days of the month reported, DO NOT CAPTURE ACTUAL INCOME. For ongoing income, enter Start Date as the first day of the month following the month the income source started.

    1. Complete all required fields as noted in each guide
    2. Click Save
    3. Verify all Outstanding Evidence

NOTE: When verifying income use information that is provided or Reasonable Compatibility; if these are not available then use the MHF to TMH verification code for TMH. DO NOT REQUEST INCOME VERIFICATION IF HOUSEHOLD IS ELIGIBLE FOR TMH. Apply Changes, Check Proposed Determination, Finalize Proposed Determination

NOTE: MEDES may generate an additional proposed determination, especially in cases with income changes, adding a person, or removing a person. If the system generated an additional proposed determination, you must run the Finalize Proposed Determination again

    1. Manually generate an IM-4TMH to send with the system generated IM-80

NOTE: When making the initial change, the PDC will only show eligibility for the first 6 months of TMH Eligibility. Eligibility and Certification will extend, beyond 6 months, as the TMH timeline continues.

    1. Make a comment on the Income Evidence:
      1. Income source, start/stop date and information pertinent to your calculation of income requiring further explanation. Document what the type of verification that was used,
        1. If the RC calculator was used, include in the note that a copy is located in the HoH Page Tab > Client Contact subtab > Notes folder.
    2. Make a comment on the HoH Person Page to include:
      1. When the participant reported the income change to FSD
      2. When the income change was discovered
      3. The type of Verification used
    3. Review Notice Queue to make sure appropriate forms generated.
      1. IM-80: Generates in the event of coverage changes
      2. IM-55A: First Quarterly Report
      3. IM-33TMH-R: First Quarterly Report Reminder
      4. IM-80: Generates in the event the IM-55A is not returned
      5. IM-33C: Case Action Notice

NOTE: TMH notices (IM-55A, IM-33TMH-R, second IM-80, IM-33C) generate based on the income start date, not the date the change was made.
