Driver Information Screen

Applicants and/or participants of Blind Pension (BP) program are prohibited from possessing a valid driver license.

The Driver Information (DRIVINFO/FMNE) screen captures whether or not a BP applicant or participant possess a valid driver license. If the applicant states he/she has a valid driver license, he/she must agree to surrender the driver license within 60 days.

This screen displays in the controlled flow after the Disabled screen for all BP applications. FAMIS will allow you to flow past this screen, however, the results display an Insufficient Data (ISD) under Technical.

Use fastpath, DRIVINFO/FMNE, to access this screen outside of the controlled flow.

Step 9

Accept Client’s Statement (CS) of possession of a driver license. If applicant agrees to surrender a driver license issued in the State of Missouri, this will be verified by interface after the application is approved. If the driver license was issued in another state, applicant must provide hard copy documentation proving the license is surrendered.

Step 10

Step 12

DRIVER INFORMATION HISTORY

The Driver Information History (FMNF) screen captures the information entered by the eligibility specialist and received through the nightly interface with Department of Revenue (DOR). The most current information is displayed at the top.

All active BP recipients will begin to have information displayed on the Driver Information History screen.

The Driver Information History screen is an Inquiry screen. This screen is accessed from the Driver Information (DRIVINFO/FMNE) screen by selecting with an “S” the individual from the repeating group and pressing F14=HISTORY.

The Driver Information History screen displays the 60th day at the top, after the Blind Pension application has been approved, or for cases active on 8/28/2018 it is currently displayed.

If, after the individual surrenders his/her license, the DOR comes back with a match, the individual must provide hard copy documentation proving the license was surrendered. Entry of N under possess, with MO as state, and the correct date of issue with HC verification will prevent the update of DRIVINFO by the interface. HC should only be entered when a person has provided written verification from the Dept. of Revenue s/he has surrendered his/her license. Use caution to ensure the correct date of issue is entered. If the issue date entered doesn’t match the date returned by the interface, it will be treated as a new driver license and the closing will begin.

If, after the individual is approved for BP, the nightly DOR hits a match, and the individual has obtained a driver license the License Possess field populates with a Y(es) and Adverse Action starts. The 60 days to surrender a driver license does not apply to individuals who obtain another driver license after approval for BP or receive a moving violation with or without a driver license.
