Retrieving Archived Eligibility Determinations (EDs)

Details regarding actions on the EU Action Log (FM40) screen in FAMIS are archived after 8 months. When selecting an action to view details, if the message “Eligibility Determination Archived – Use F16 to retrieve details” appears, the action has been archived and must be retrieved to be viewed.

EXCEPTION: The last ED (eligibility determination) will not be archived, no matter how old, until a new eligibility determination is completed.

To retrieve archived actions complete the following steps.

Step 1

Fastpath to “FAMISPAR”

Step 2

If the Supercase displayed is not the correct case, press F10=CLEAR to clear the screen. Enter the SSN or DCN. Press CTRL. The EU information appears.

Step 3

Enter “S” in the “Select” field for the EU on which you wish to inquire, then fastpath to “EULOG”. The EU Action Log appears.

Step 4

Review the actions listed on the screen. If the action is not displayed, press F8=FORWARD to view previous actions.

Step 5

Select the action to be reviewed. Press F17=INQAUTH. If the message “Eligibility Determination Archived – Use F16 to retrieve details” appears, retrieve the action.

Step 6

Press F16=RETRIEVE. The message “Eligibility Determination retrieval scheduled for next day” appears.

Step 7

The following day, complete steps 1 – 5. Select the retrieved action and press F17=INQAUTH to view the details.
