How Do I Know: Locating the Spend Down Amount, TWHA Premium, and QMB/SLMB Eligibility

Why This Is Important: This allows you to see a participant’s Spend Down amount, TWHA premium, and/or QMB and SLMB eligibility.

Spend Down, TWHA and QMB/SLMB eligibility can be found on the Eligibility Unit Summary screen.

  1. From the FAMIS Main Menu screen type the fastpath FAMISPAR or FM0D on the command line.
  2. Press Ctrl key
  3. Tab down to either the SSN or DCN fields and enter the appropriate number. If you use the DCN, FAMIS uses a 10-digit number. You will need to add two leading zeros to the 8-digit DCN. Press Ctrl.

OR

  1. Type EUSUMM on the command line, select the MHABD program and press Ctrl.

  1. Enter the appropriate budget month in the yellow box and press Ctrl.

All MHABD eligibility for the month display. In the budget month of 062019, the participant receives SLMB and MO HealthNet Ticket to Work Premium (TWHA) coverage. The TWHA monthly premium is $85.00. If the participant received MO HealthNet Spend Down coverage, the Medicaid Category display SPNDN instead of TWT1 and the monthly spend down amount displays in the amount column.

  1. The budget month may be changed as many times as needed by typing the new month over the month displayed and pressing Ctrl.

The 04/2019 budget displays MHNS or MO HealthNet Non Spend Down in the Medicaid Category. The Amount field is blank when a participant does not have a monthly spend down or TWHA premium.
