How Do I Know: Finding the SNAP Budget Summary
Why This Is Important: This allows you to see the details of how the SNAP Budget is determined.
- From the FAMIS Main Menu screen type the fastpath FAMISPAR or FM0D on the command line.
- Press CTRL key
- Tab down to either the SSN or DCN fields and enter the appropriate number. If you use the DCN, FAMIS uses a 10-digit number. You will need to add two leading zeros to the 8-digit DCN. Press CTRL.

- Select the FS EU and enter the fastpath, FSBUDSUM on the top line, and press Ctrl.
- Prompt (=F4) in the Budget Month field (red box). Press Ctrl.
- Select the appropriate benefit month on EU Action Log and press CTRL.
The SNAP (Food Stamp) Budget Summary displays budgetary information used to determine SNAP eligibility for the Budget Month selected. In Mrs. Martinez’s determination:

- There are two people in the EU
- There is at least one person who meets the elderly/disabled definition
- Gross Income is $1,849.89
- Gross Income Max for two people is $1784.00
- Net Income is $1231.00
- Gross Net Income Maximum for two people is $1372.00. Mrs. Martinez net income is less than the net income maximum so Mrs. Martinez’s EU passes the income test and is eligible for SNAP based on income.
