How Do I Know: Determining a Participant’s Benefit Summary Details

Why This Is Important: This allows you to access and review the Eligibility Unit Summary screen for each program. This screen is like a “snapshot” of the selected case. The following information is displayed:

  • The Head of Household’s Supercase number (SCN) and EU case number
  • The FSD office information
  • The Eligibility Status information
  • The Application Date, Eligibility Period, Annual Reinvestigation/Mid-Certification Date and Budget Month
  • The Supercase Members part of the Eligibility Unit with their individual:
    • Identifying Information, Role, Begin/Coverage Dates, Medicaid Category Type and Premium/Spend Down Amount
  1. Start on the FAMIS Program Participation screen by using FAMISPAR or FM0D.
  2. Press F10=CLEAR if another participant appears.
  3. Tab down to either the SSN or DCN fields and enter the appropriate number. If you use the DCN, FAMIS uses a 10-digit number. You will need to add two leading zeros to the 8-digit DCN. Press CTRL

OR

  1. Tab down to select the Eligibility Unit by typing an S in the “Sel” field next to the specific program.
  2. Press the F11=EUSUM key to access the Eligibility Unit Summary screen.

Or

Type the fastpath EUSUMM on the command line and press the Ctrl key.

This is the MHABD Eligibility Unit Summary screen.

The MHABD Eligibility Unit Summary screen for this case shows:

    • The “EU Status” is “ACT”. This is an active MHABD case
    • The “Application Date” is the date the application was received by FSD
    • The “Rein Date” is the date the annual reinvestigation is due to be completed
    • The “Budget Month” is the information for the month of coverage displayed
      • NOTE: This month can be changed by typing the month and year you want to review in the yellow highlighted field and pressing the Ctrl key. This can be updated as many times as needed.
    • “< —–Date—– >” shows begin and end dates of coverage for the budget month
    • “Medicaid Category” shows the type of coverage the individual receives
    • “Amount” is the Ticket to Work Health Assurance Premium or Spend Down amount

Common EU Status codes:

    • ACT Active
    • CLO Closed
    • REJ Rejected

Common Medicaid Category codes:

    • MHNS MO HealthNet Non-Spend Down
    • MHSD MO HealthNet Sped Down
    • QMB Qualified Medicare Beneficiary
    • SLMB1 Specified Low Income Medicare Beneficiary Group 1
    • SLMB2 Specified Low Income Medicare Beneficiary Group 2
    • TWT1 Ticket to Work Basic Group – Non-Premium
    • TWT2 Ticket to Work Basic Group – Premium
    • TWT3 Ticket to Work Improved Group – Non-Premium
    • TWT4 Ticket to Work Improved Group – Premium
  1. Tab to the EU field and type an = in the DCN field. Press F4=PROMPT to prompt out for the Supercase/Eligibility Unit screen.
  2. Tab down to select another Eligibility Unit by typing an S in the “Sel” field next to the specific program you want to view.
    • NOTE: For this demonstration, we will select the SNAP case.
  3. Press Ctrl.

This is the SNAP Eligibility Unit Summary screen.

The SNAP Eligibility Unit Summary screen for this case shows:

    • The “EU Status” is “REJ”. This SNAP application was rejected on the “Status Date” of June 10, 2019
    • “Simplified Reporting (Y/N)” identifies whether or not a household is eligible for this reporting option
    • The “Application Date” is the date the application was received by FSD
    • The “Eligibility Period” shows the start and end date of certification
    • The “Mid-Cert Review Date” is the date the mid-certification review is due to be completed
    • The “Name” and “DOB” list individuals included in the eligibility determination
    • The “Role” is “IN”. Darin and Tasha’s income, expenses and resources were included in the determination
    • “ABAWD” identifies those who are deemed Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents
    • “Begin and End Date” list the individual EU member’s eligibility dates
  1. Repeat Steps 6-8 to access and review the Eligibility Unit Summary screen for another program.
