Declarations

The Declarations screen for Temporary Assistance is identical to that used for Food Stamps, as many of the offender disqualifications that are screened for in Food Stamps apply to the Temporary Assistance program as well.

Mr. Scofield declares that neither he nor his children are part of any of the offender categories mentioned on the Declarations screen. If Mr. Scofield had answered “yes” to any of the declarations for any member of the Eligibility Unit, a Declarations Detail screen would be next in the controlled flow. FAMIS will compare the information gathered to policy for each program being requested, and apply any penalties. The details screens also provide access to the Sanction / Disqualification screen to review, add or change information regarding penalties. Remember that a FAMIS User Guide is available to guide you through the sanction or disqualification process, when you need help.

The Categorical Eligibility screen appears next in the controlled flow. That screen applies only to Food Stamps, so we will skip it here. But, remember that your original decision on CATELIG will change if you approve the EU for Temporary Assistance. Check the Application Flow Chart for tips on steps to take when you determine you will be approving Temporary Assistance!
