Minor Parent in an Adult Supervised Setting
Temporary Assistance:
A Minor Parent (under the age of 18) who is not married must live with his/her own parent(s) or in another adult supervised supportive living arrangement.
An adult supervised supportive living arrangement means a private family setting or other living arrangement (not including a public institution), which is maintained as a family. This means an adult has taken on responsibility for the care and control of the Minor Parent and dependent, providing supportive services, counseling, guidance, or supervision. Eligible living arrangements are:
- Home of the Minor Parent’s own parent(s)
- Home of an adult relative
- Home of a legal guardian
- Other adult supervised living arrangement
If the Minor Parent does not reside in any of the allowable living arrangements see Exceptions for Minor Parent Living Arrangement.
