Personal Responsibility Plan (PRP)
REQUIREMENT:
Effective August 28, 2015, all applicants for Temporary Assistance who are subject to TA work requirements must complete a Personal Responsibility Plan prior to determining their eligibility for Temporary Assistance. The PRP is contained in the IM-1TA application, or is available as a separate form when the IM-1TA application is not used. Compliance is captured on the TA Work Requirement (FM8B/COMPACT) screen. FAMIS will not allow processing of the application without compliance.
PROCEDURE:
Individuals exempt or temporarily excluded from work activities are not subject to this requirement. All others must indicate in the PRP the work activities in which they agree to participant, if approved for TA.
When necessary, generate and edit the FA325 Request for Information following instructions contained in the memo cited above to request the applicant complete the IM-3 PRP.
At approval, the PRP must be forwarded to MWA via email to: MWAPersonal@dss.mo.gov
VERIFICATION:
Section 1 of the IM-1TA Application for Temporary Assistance is the Personal Responsibility Plan. Applicants who apply by other means must complete and sign the IM-3 PRP (available via the memo cited above).
The applicant(s)’ compliance is captured on the TA Work Requirement (FM8B/COMPACT) screen by entries in the Orientation/PRP field. (See Standardized Orientation in this guide.) Compliance with both the Orientation and PRP requirements are captured in this field with the following codes:
- BC – Both Orientation and PRP Complete
- BI – Both Orientation and PRP Incomplete
- OC – Orientation Complete
- OI – Orientation incomplete
- PI – PRP Incomplete
