Timely Reporting of IM-1U
FSD must annually re-determine the eligibility of existing participants in MEDES receiving certain MO HealthNet (MHF, MHK, CHIP, and UWHS) benefits.
When unable to complete an Auto Renewal, MEDES creates and sends a pre-populated IM-1U to the participant for the completion of a manual review.
TIMELY REPORTING OF THE IM-1U
- If the IM-1U was returned timely, but FSD was not able to process the manual renewal until after certification period end date, follow steps to Begin Manual Renewal & Complete Manual Renewal.
- Following steps to Begin Manual Renewal will add a new certification period for the 12 months following the prior certification period end date.
- If the IM-1U was not returned timely, but within the reconsideration period (days 31 up to and including day 90), treat the IM-1U as a new application, click the Page Actions
menu, click Begin Renewal and follow steps to Enter an Application in the Eligibility Specialist Portal. You will not create a new Application Case, but make any changes and updates to the closed Integrated Case.
- If the IM-1U was not returned timely, and after 90 days of the certification period end date, the participant must re-apply for benefits. You will not create a new Application Case, but make any changes and updates to the closed Integrated Case.
