Please know this process only works with computers that have already had Genesys Cloud installed for at least 24 hours.
- From the Genesys Desktop Application, right click on the toolbar and select “Check for Updates”.
NOTE: You might have to sign out and restart the application to see the options.
-
- If “You’re up to date!”, there is nothing more you need to do.
-
- If you are not at the latest version, do not download the update from the Genesys Cloud software as this requires Administrative permissions. Instead, continue to the next step.
- Open Software Center from the Start Menu by typing “Software” in the search box.
- Assure “Applications” are selected on the left hand column. Type “Updater” in the search box. Click “Cloud Updater” as pictured below. If you do not see Genesys Cloud as an option, you should wait 24 hours and try again. If you still do not see it after waiting 24 hours, please enter a Cherwell ticket to ITSD CES.
- If Genesys Cloud is indeed out of date, it will give you the option to install during the day instead of waiting till 10:00 PM. You should not be on the phone or interacting with the Genesys call center during this process. By clicking “Install” this will close Genesys Desktop application and update it. If successful, you will see an “Uninstall” button grayed out. This confirms the Genesys Desktop application is up to date.
NOTE: Your PC may restart as part of this process. Make sure you have saved any important documents before clicking on “Install”.
- Open Genesys Cloud from your desktop and continue about your day.
