Guidance #
IMES should only be used if Insights Engine is unavailable.
-
- For MAGI, if the Get Insights Engine button is available on the Current task, use it instead of IMES.
- For FAMIS, if the Get Insights Engine button is available and the task is for a SNAP, Non-MAGI or TA application or a SNAP recertification, use Insights Engine. However, if the FAMIS task is an MCR, TA or Non-MAGI annual renewal or a change in circumstance, IMES must be used.
IMES is an interface screen between the Family Support Division and the Missouri Division of Workforce Development. It shows information for past employment quarters and Missouri Unemployment Compensation Benefit (UCB) payments. FSD staff must view all pages of IMES and scan the complete IMES to the ECM.
Access IMES at application, recertification and mid-certification.
Check IMES for:
- SNAP: each household/EU member age 16 and over
- Non-MAGI: each EU member
- TA: each EU member who is age 16 and over, emancipated or a teen parent
- MAGI: each EU member who is age 16 and over
Use IMES to:
- Discuss what is on IMES with the participant
- Review and discuss past and present Missouri employment history with the household
- Add a comment on EUMEMROL documenting what you reviewed on IMES and the conversation with the participant
- Verify Missouri Unemployment Compensation
- Scan and upload IMES when using it to verify income in the home, application status for unemployment compensation and Missouri residency
- Do not scan and upload when it is not used for these reasons and:
- It is completely blank (no data)
- OR there is no earned income or unemployment compensation on it in the last 12 months
- Do not scan and upload when it is not used for these reasons and:
Do not use IMES to:
- Verify earned income
- Determine whether a person is meeting, or has met, ABAWD requirements
