Training is a requirement to ensure Benefit Program Technician are given the resources to perform the essential job functions of their job. Benefit Program Technician may be required to travel for multiple days of training which may require overnight lodging. Benefit Program Technician should make arrangement for all trainings they are scheduled to attend to ensure they are able to attend all training sessions as required. Benefit Program Technician should not remove themselves from a scheduled training though the ELC. Should a Benefit Program Technician determine they are not able to attend a scheduled training, he/she must speak with their supervisory to discuss and determine if the course can be cancelled/rescheduled or if the employee is expected to remain enrolled. Only with supervisory approval which will be given by email can the employee dis-enroll for the scheduled training. It is the expectation that the employee works with their supervisor to determine the next training they are expected to attend. Employees who do not receive supervisory approval prior to dis-enrolling from a scheduled training can lead to disciplinary action.
