FAMIS Participant Search/PRSNSRCH
Locate Participant’s DCN #
Step 1: Using the searches outlined on the Primary DCN Search chart, Is the Participant found? (You can also use Search for a Person guide)

- Yes – Continue to Step 2

- No- Always assume the customer has a DCN Assigned. It is rare for a customer not to, unless born out of state. Use the DCN Search guide (See Using SUPD to Search Known Aliases or Making Permanent Changes) to search for name variations, alias, incorrect birthdates, or other near matches.
Step 2: Using the searches outlined on the Secondary DCN Search Chart, is the information in the Common Area Correct?

- Yes- See Step 3

- No- Correct the information in the Common Area on the SUPD screen, or assign a DCN. Do not assign a DCN until all Primary and Secondary searches are exhausted. Then Update Date of Birth in FAMIS. Continue to Step 3
