MO HealthNet Card

Guidance #

MO HealthNet cards are automatically issued for a participant at initial approval, unless they have received a card in the past.

If the case is active through Youth Services or Children’s Division, participant will need to contact them for a new card. Coverage can be seen on MXIX coded AC for Alternative Care.

When a participant needs a replacement MO HealthNet card, use MREP (REQUEST REPLACEMENT MO HEALTHNET ID CARD) to request a new MO HealthNet card following the steps below.

 

MO HealthNet Card Replacement (MREP) Guide #

 

Before requesting a card replacement through MREP:

Step 1

Verify that the address is correct in FAMIS and MEDES

    • If address matches, continue to Step 2
    • If address needs to be updated, update the address in FAMIS and/or MEDES
      • Do NOT continue to Step 2 until the next business day

 

Step 2

Check eMMIS to see if the address matches the address in FAMIS and MEDES: https://emmis.momed.com/medicaid/entry 

    • If the address in eMMIS matches the address in FAMIS and MEDES, continue to Step 3
    • If the address in eMMIS does not match address in FAMIS and MEDES, email/contact the appropriate contact:
      • For ADM:
        • Email FSD.MHABDPA@dss.mo.gov
        • Subject Line: Crossover Issue
      • For MAGI:
        • Participant should call MHD Participant Services at 1-800-392-2161
      • Continue to Step 8

 

Step 3

If the address matches and the participant:

    • Has active coverage, continue to Step 4 to reissue the card through MREP
    • Does NOT have active coverage, staff must wait until the business day after the application is approved to issue the card through MREP (continue to Step 4)

 

Step 4

    • Press Pause/Break to clear your screen in FAMIS

 

Step 5

    • Type MREP
    • Press CTRL

 

Step 6

    • Type the 8 digit DCN next to MREP
    • Press CTRL

 

Step 7

    • Type X next to the appropriate replacement reason
    • Press CTRL
    • A message displays on the bottom of the screen confirming a card was successfully requested

 

Step 8

    • Make a comment on EUMEMROL and/or Person Page describing the action taken

 

Comment #

Comment on MHABD EUMEMROL/FM3Z when:

    • Participant requests a MO HealthNet card
    • MO HealthNet card is issued through MREP
