How to Apply #
Staff should provide clients with all options to apply for our programs when the participant is asking how they can apply. Staff should advise the participant they apply online at mydss.mo.gov, print the application from the website and mail it to PO Box 2700, Jefferson City, MO 65102, fax the application to 573-526-9400, or upload the application on the FSD Upload Portal (mo.gov), visit the local Resource Center to fill out an application or we can mail an application to the client. For MOHealthNet applications the participant also can apply over the phone at 855-373-9994. Staff should also educate the participant on the Predictive Dialer if the participant is applying for a program that requires an interview. (If a participant is asking to apply the staff member should also complete predictive dialer and text message education.)
Predictive Dialer Education #
Staff should advise the participant inquiring how to apply or asking for an application to be mailed to them for SNAP or SNAP/COMBO, that once they have applied and the application is registered into the system the participant will receive a call from FSD the next business day to complete their interview. The Caller ID will show Family Support Division 855 823 4908. We will make one attempt as early as 6 am and as late as 5 pm. If the call is not answered a voicemail will be left for the participant to call back. The only time a participant needs to call FSD for their interview is if they miss FSD’s call. Staff should not advise participants to apply online and call back immediately to complete their interview.
Text Message Prior to Interview Education #
Staff should advise the participant to subscribe to text messages to ensure they receive future communication. Participants who have not subscribed to text message alerts will not receive a text message about the Predictive Dialer call, but will be offered the option to subscribe for future text message alerts. Only participants with a phone number that has subscribed to receive text message alerts will get the message about the Predictive Dialer call. The message will be sent the day the application is loaded in the dialer to be called for an interview and it will say the following, “FSD received your application. An interview is required for approval. We will call soon from 855-823-4908, please answer.”
Outstanding Verification #
When the participant is calling and the case is pending for verification needed the staff member should check to see if the verification has been received and if they are unable to locate the verification advise the participant what is still needed to process the case. This should be completed on all cases even if this is not what the participant has originally called for. Staff should then advise participant of ways to turn in requested verification.
Turning in Requested Verification #
Staff should advise the participant of all options for turning in verification. Participants can upload the requested verification on mydss.mo.gov by clicking on ‘upload documents’, fax to 573 526 9400, mail them to PO Box 2700 Jefferson City, MO 65102 or drop them off at the local Resource Center. Staff should advise the participant to include their name and social security number or DCN with the documents.
